The L.N.K College of Education, was established in the year 1968. It is located at PATAN, the ancient historical and cultures capital of Gujarat. Patan is a small city situated on the bank of the river Saraswati on the northern border of Gujarat and is known for its cultural, historical heritage and as seat of scholars. The college is hardly 1 km away from Patan Railway station and 1.5 km from bus station of Patan city.

It is one of the premier institutions under the umbrella of the prestigious North Gujarat Education Society Trust, Mumbai. L.N.K College of Education is a grant-in-aid college affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University, Patan. Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University - Gujarat’s well known University, prescribes the syllabus, conducts examination and awards degrees to the students. There are 76 affiliated B.Ed colleges in North Gujarat and out of them only seven are grant in aid colleges. LNK college of Education is one among them.The medium of instruction is Gujarati.

L.N.K college of Education has been accredited "B++" grade by NAAC in 2007 and is in the process of re-accreditation. Our college has been given recognition as “A Center for Teachers Education” by the H.R.D ministry since 2001. The college has also been recognized as Programme Center for IGNOU B.Ed course, IGNOU M.A. (Education ) course and BAOU B.Ed. Course. The institution has dedicated itself to the service of society by educating teachers and preparing professional educators for all levels for almost five decades. Over 4,000 students completed B.Ed from this institution. Nearly 400 students have been awarded M.Ed Degrees. Twenty students have been awarded Ph.D. degrees under the guidance of the faculty of this institution. As good teachers are social engineers, a social change agent, an instrument for social progress, LNK aims at preparing teachers with roots in tradition and equipped for the future. LNK has a team of fully qualified and experienced facultiy to teach the B.Ed course. We have a long history of excellence and repute and have a solemn commitment to address ourselves vigorously to the needs arising from a dynamic and rapidly changing society. We believe in aligning ourselves to the requirement of the new age of teaching, conducting research, disseminating new knowledge and developing applications of existing knowledge.
